There is a new article in Forbes with impressive figures to explain that the wealth of youngsters (and even not so youngsters) is stagnating.
With the current economical crisis it is not so unsurprising that young people are paying a price.
Still there is something strange about the concept or the phrase that the next generation will be less wealthy than their parents, it’s much older than you think. This report gives shows that people have become wealthier during the past 30 years, thus showing that people thinking the next generation would be less rich in the seventies were wrong. I’m not sure if this will be the case the next decades.
Probably in many (developing) countries we will see young people being wealthier than ever before in their country, but in the ‘old’ world it will be great to maintain the present wealth.
