Earlier this summer UNESCO published a report that often was incorrectly summarized as (only) a plea for banning smartphones in schools. The report went much broader, asking important questions about all digital devices in schools. Personally, I do think that the report was a bit one-sided, for sure with the claim that there were only positive results in studies paid by the industry. A check of this blog could have shown that’s not the case. But it’s an example of how the tone has been changing. This OpEd by Antero Garcia that Larry Cuban shared, is another example:
