Gamification in research on bullying: ‘Filling in a survey should be FUN for children’

In September and October 2013, my friends at Trendwolves gathered data from more than 1100 elementary schoolchildren about their experiences with bullying at school. Their axiom: ‘Filling in a survey should be FUN for children’.
So Trendwolves created an online game for their target group children and collected data as they played the game. Children could create and customize their personal avatar as they advanced through the game. All data were stored in a database ready for statistical analysis.
